Back Porch: A Study in Procrastination

BEFORE:
Two bedside tables purchased at a 2007 estate sale for $60.DURING:
A lot of sanding.

AFTER:
(I'll take a picture ... later)
Over the past year and a half, I've worked on and off (mostly off) on sanding/staining these bedside tables. They spent the rainy season warping on the back deck.

Tonight we've been projeckting like madmen, including finishing the second bedside table. Literally. Except for the drawers.

Unfinished Project #2 completed (mostly). Check.

Sanding and staining...such a lot of work, but you are real workers and the result is rewarding...these tables look great! And now you'll have more room on your deck. Doesn't it feel wonderful to check things off a list?

Good for you! I don't even want to think about doing a project like that. I've been doing a lot of standing around too. I'm waiting for Reese to finish replacing our electrical outlets and switches. He did that in our little brown house. He didn't want to keep going in and out of gthe house to turn the power on and off so he left it on. I heard several loud "AAAAAhhhhhhhhh's" throughout the evening.

We have two bedside tables and 4 chairs sitting in the garage. After doing that to our kitchen table- that I love- we may be procrastinating the refinishing too. It is lots of work-but worth the reward- and what a lot of $ saved! Can't wait to see it finished! you go handy woman Robin!
