When the Bomb Hits...

...Don't give me no wheat, no wheat. Don't give me no beans, no beans. Just give me Adam's PB, oh yeah. Just Adam's PB [sung to the tune of a Girls' Camp classic].

I knew our family consumed a lot of PB. But I was curious about the exact rate of consumption. So I started a little scientific test, as evidenced above. That's an 80 oz jar of PB. The new jar was opened on May 27. And that's why we have a Costco membership.

What's the number one consumed item in your home?
The one that will make quarantine possible/bearable/non-glum?

Our #1 consumed item is probably bananas, but that won't help us when there's a bomb. I'd have to guess chocolate protein powder, consumed in smoothies with frozen strawberries. PB is also quite popular.

Love this. :)

I dunno Erin...couldn't bananas grow in your hot clime? You could create a rainforest hothouse in your spacious backyard.

It's true, though, what you say. I'm scheming about increased self-reliance these days but realize, even on The Farm, we won't be able to produce much petroleum. Or peanuts. Etc.

I like=a your idea of chocolate protein powder strawberry smoothies. Thanks for the tip!

Me...Ghirardelli 60% cacao dark chocolate squares
Laur...Dilettante chocolate-covered fruit (strawberries, apricots, cherries and blueberries) that he'd better share.
And we do have some in storage!
