Last night, before Briton soundly beat me at Scrabble (“chez” was the turning point; “bu” is not a word), we were reviewing a document we’d written as starry-eyed newlyweds. I’m talking one-month-behind-our-belts-the-world-is-our-oyster-type starry-eyed newlyweds. The questions covered a wide array of topics related to how we envisioned our future lives together. Below are two of the more temporal questions:
"grand piano, harpsichord, new bike for robin, our own vehicles, a place to call home, kitchen aid, industrial blender, really good stereo system with great speakers (possibly surround sound). Flat screen monitor? good furniture down the road. nice house stuff (washer and dryer---quiet dishwasher too). sewing machine. serger. loom. quilting table (2x4s), pair of skates, and a pony, 1 milk cow, 1 goat for trash, 7 chickens, garden w/ rhubarb, a tire swing, big trees, yard big enough for catch and badminton and a zipline. a bandsaw, drill press, table saw, miter saw, glass grinder. good work bench,,outdoor freezer, a bucket from Tillamook, incidentals, and lots of good camping equipment, and a cooler, and some lawn chairs, garden hose, lawn mower, garden implements, tools, a couple four wheelers (sweet!), an OED, just for show. a television, a VCR, a DVD player, a video camera, -the latest gizmo."
They say if you write your goals down they will happen. Four years into our marriage, I can see how that is true. Not that we have a million dollars; but we do have one chicken and a bucket from Tillamook (50 cents!).

you forgot to add to the list of what you DO have - two amazingly beautiful children and an eternity of potential happiness! love you guys - very much!!
Wow you guys are BIG spenders! Wish I had a Tillamook bucket.
We have 2 buckets from the BYU Creamery...does that count? ;)
I have a red bucket and a blue bucket and a yellow sand pail and quite a few buckets in the home storage room and I used to have (for many, many years) a laundry soap bucket (free). Please post a photo of a Tillamook bucket so we can be envious of the bucket that made your starry-eyed list of things you'd like to own! By the way...don’t you have rhubarb?
I can hardly decide which post to comment on! I'm stopping by, for the first time, and I'm going to be a regular. Congrats on your bucket! I love the goat idea--instant composter!
