Big Moment. Deep Breath. Inhale. Exhale. It's going to be okay.
Last night I deleted a blog from My Favorites. I'd never met the person who authors it. It's not a public blog like "Pioneer Woman" or "Stuff White People Like". It's just her musings about life and pictures of her family and friends. Written for her family and friends (even though she feels like my best friend ....not really, Heidi ... she doesn't know me from beans). She is insightful and artistic. It was fun to read. But now, a year or so later, I started feeling weird that I cared so much about what she would post. There was definitely an addictive element there, too. I mean, 24 hours later I'm shaking because I want to see what she posted today and I'm not letting myself do it. That's so sad. Shouldn't I be doing something more productive during naptime ... uh ... like mowing the lawn ... instead of blogging?
How 'bout you guys? Is there a "personal" blog out there you check on a regular basis that belongs to someone you've never met? .... Ahhhhhhh! Wait!!! Is it this blog??!?!?
Disclaimer: But if it is this blog ... be ware ... I've got Google Analytics!!!! It can tell me what you eat for breakfast. Waa-hahhahahahahaha!

not really into reading about personal lives of people- but other types- tips, crafts, etc. -but I am getting really sick of checking blogs- no offense...I need a break- and I have been taking one. It is refreshing- the house gets cleaned, I exercise more, I take a nap. etc. I know what you are saying though-it is kind of like how reality TV has changed us- we are so caught up in other people's lives- we don't have time to live our own- yet it is addicting and not in a good way. SO be happy- with your little life- and I will try to do that too! Plus when I read all those cute mommy blogs I feel like a loser mom... Now I just put them all on my google reader- and then I can just see if it is worth reading...do you use google reader? It is a lifesaver!
You just wish that many random people read your blog.
yes but after 3 years I figure they are my bloggy friends now. btw I've never met you. I've met Briton but I like reading what you post. I think you're a bigger character than he is. :-D I normally just lurk.
I second google reader. Mormon Mommy Wars saved my life and the life of my children by letting me peek into the lives of other moms without any whitewashing. I haven't met most of them, but some of them feel very much like friends. Except they probably don't know me. I also read Dandelion Mama and really do care a lot. They feel like friends though.
I haven't tried Google Reader. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the tip.
I don't know of any great blogs like that, but as far as I can tell, the most productive thing we can do during nap time - is take a nap.
What did I eat today ???
Cereal. Cold cereal. See? Isn't that spooky how i know that?
