"Do you know this photographer?"

Grandma and Grandpa Barker came to visit when Sydney was blessed. One thing about being with Grandpa Barker on an "occassion" ... it will not go undocumented. This time we had especially asked that he bring his fancy camera so we could get a family photo. He graciously conceded.

On Sunday afternoon, still in our church get-up, we posed for our family of four foto. He snapped shots in rapid succession. We ordered online with Costco an enlargement on the one we liked the best. The next morning I went to pick it up and had this conversation:
Cashier: "Excuse me, do you know the photographer who took this picture?"
Me: "Yeah. It's my father-in-law."
Cashier: "He must have a really nice camera."
Me: "Yeah. It's a fancy one."
Cashier: "Oh. Well, I just had to ask because this order was tagged as a possible copyright infringement. You'll need to sign the form that says you know the photographer and it's okay to get reprints of his work."
I scurried home to re-tell the story to a beaming Laur. So, not only do we get a photo history any time we are together. We get a professional photo history. Thanks.

Grandpa Laur is blushing, but he sure does have fun taking photos of his adorable grandkids!

Miss Sydney is certainly checking out my fascinating/funny face. How wonderful to meet her and attend her blessing!
